PRIVACY
Your preferences stay yours.
PriceGleam stores saved product links and your light or dark theme choice in your browser. Saved Hunts are stored in PriceGleam's database and linked to a random, secure browser credential kept in an HttpOnly cookie. The database stores only a hash of that credential.
If you choose to sync Saved Hunts, PriceGleam stores the verified email address and a keyed lookup hash so the same address can restore Hunts on another device. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes, work once, and are not placed in page URLs. Session and code credentials are stored as hashes. Stopping sync revokes the current session and does not delete your Hunts. Verified sync does not subscribe you to deal alerts or marketing email.
If you set up deal alerts, PriceGleam stores the email address you enter, your selected categories, requested frequency, price limit, score threshold, confirmation status, and the time you consented. If you explicitly choose to use saved searches for precise email matches, PriceGleam also stores a copy of up to ten selected search rules with that alert signup. We use that information only to operate PriceGleam alerts, prevent duplicate messages, and process unsubscribes. We do not sell this information. You can unsubscribe from any alert email or remove the stored signup from the alert settings.
Saved Hunt alerts are opt-in per Hunt. PriceGleam stores the Hunt and offer identifiers, the checked offer version, why an alert was sent or suppressed, delivery status, and privacy-safe return events. Verifying an email to sync My Deals does not subscribe you to alerts.
When you click a retailer link, PriceGleam records a random browser-session identifier, the outbound deal identifier, destination, page source, and time needed to measure affiliate activity. Repeated clicks on the same deal within a short period are counted once, and obvious automated or verification traffic is excluded. We do not store your IP address or browser user-agent in that click record. The retailer handles the resulting visit under its own privacy policy and may receive affiliate tracking parameters.
PriceGleam also counts page views using a random identifier that lasts only for the current browser session, the page path, a broad visit source such as Pinterest or direct, and the time of the view. It may record one engagement event for that session after the page stays visible for 15 seconds or the shopper uses a pointer or keyboard. Saved Hunt value events can include a random Hunt ID, broad category, match count, session, source, and an action such as created, paused, or viewed. They do not include the Hunt wording or an email address. We do not store your IP address or browser fingerprint in these records or send this audience data to a third-party analytics service.
A Saved Hunt stores the shopper's original wording, interpreted product preferences, status, current match counts, and lightweight evaluation history. Without verified sync, clearing the secure Hunt cookie removes access. A Hunt ID by itself is never treated as authentication.
For marketplace deals, PriceGleam stores listing evidence such as product identifiers, prices, condition, seller, terms, and observation dates when collected through a permitted source. We do not receive a shopper's retailer password or payment details. Affiliate reports, when imported, can contain transaction references, purchase amounts, commission amounts and transaction status for reconciliation. That is separate from access to your retailer account or full order history.
First-party acquisition reporting can retain accepted source, medium, campaign, content and search-term labels from a visit URL, along with its landing page. Unsupported, internal and test labels are excluded by the reporting rules. A session identifier is not proof of a unique person.
Hosting and database processing use Cloudflare through Sites. Verification and alert messages use Resend when configured. Google supplies the owner-only search data described below, and QStash delivers scheduled owner-workflow requests. Externally hosted product images can cause your browser to contact the image provider, including Target's Scene7 host for the Acer catalog photograph. Those providers handle the requests under their own policies.
Finder interprets your request with rules running in the application; its current request parser does not call an external AI model. PriceGleam uses AI assistance for development and editorial preparation. This does not mean every listing was manually verified or that shopper inputs are sent to an AI service.
PriceGleam accepts eBay marketplace account-deletion notifications. After eBay authenticates a notification, we delete stored listings tied to the affected public seller identity, remove related queued content, invalidate comparison evidence that used those listings, and block the deleted identity from being re-imported. We retain only a one-way hash and notification receipt needed to prevent re-ingestion and prove that the request was processed.
Google Pulse and Search Console
Google Pulse is limited to PriceGleam's authorized owner/operator workflow, not shopper accounts. PriceGleam may connect to Google Search Console through Google OAuth using the read-only webmasters.readonly scope. It retrieves and stores search-performance data for PriceGleam's own site, including impressions, clicks, average position, pages and queries returned by Google, to monitor search discovery. The connection does not modify Search Console properties.
Google OAuth credentials and tokens are used only to maintain the authorized connection. Refresh tokens are encrypted in storage; access tokens are held in memory during synchronization. Search-performance data is stored in PriceGleam's database and shown in its owner-only Google Pulse dashboard. It is handled under this privacy policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
The connected account holder can revoke access through Google Account permissions. Revoking access stops future authorized retrieval; it does not automatically delete previously stored performance observations.
PriceGleam does not ask for payment information and does not complete retail purchases. You can clear locally saved preferences through your browser’s site-data controls.
Browser saves and theme settings remain until you remove them or clear site data. Verification codes have the expiry described above; expiry is not a promise that all associated records are erased immediately. We have not set a uniform automatic deletion period for all stored Hunts, alert history, acquisition events or affiliate records. Stopping synchronization is not deletion, and clearing browser storage does not erase server records.
For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, email hello@pricegleam.com. Identify the feature and address involved, but do not send passwords, verification codes or payment details. We may need to verify control before acting. There is no general self-service account-deletion tool.
PriceGleam does not currently use third-party audience analytics or require verified sync to browse deals. First-party measurement is separate from storage used to save settings or authenticate Hunts. The current site does not present a general consent-choice banner; that is not a claim that all tracking is legally exempt from consent requirements. This notice will be updated when these practices change. Last updated: September 19, 2026.
