The five-minute deal checklist

Before spending real money, run through these five checks. They catch most of the reasons a great-looking deal turns into a return.

CHECK 01

Exact product

Match the model number, size, color, storage, generation, and included accessories to what you intended to buy.

CHECK 02

Delivered total

Add shipping, required memberships, mandatory accessories, installation, and likely return costs.

CHECK 03

Condition

Confirm new, open-box, used, or refurbished status and read the program-specific grade definition.

CHECK 04

Seller and fulfillment

Identify who sells, ships, handles returns, and backs the warranty. Check recent seller feedback when applicable.

CHECK 05

Exit plan

Read the return window, restocking fees, warranty length, exclusions, and payment protections before ordering.

Stop conditions

Pause when the model number is missing, the seller identity is unclear, the discount only exists against an unrealistic reference price, or the return terms are hard to locate. Those gaps do not prove fraud, but they make the bargain harder to verify and the downside harder to price.

After you order

Save the listing, confirmation, and promised condition. Inspect the product while the return window is open. If a marketplace seller asks you to pay or communicate outside the retailer’s normal system, stop and use the platform’s support channel.
